Pearls are organic gems and as a natural product they need to be treated with care. So here are some useful tips for looking after your pearl jewellery.

•   Put on your pearls after you have applied cosmetics, hairspray or perfume.

•   Do not let your pearls come into contact with household cleaning agents, vinegar or chlorine.

•  Clean your pearls regularly with a soft damp cloth or a chamois.

•  You can wash them in warm water with a non-detergent soap. Lay the pearls on a towel and let them dry naturally.
