About Sophanie
Sophanie is a vibrant family business; importing and retailing cultured freshwater pearls.

Having lived and worked in China we became acquainted with the cultured freshwater pearl business and met our main supplier over ten years ago. They have their own pearl farm and have been in the industry for over thirty years. 
 
As part of the preparation for setting up the business Karen studied for and was awarded a Diploma in Pearls from the Gemological Institute of America London.
 
Some of our products are also sourced from an Australian jewellery manufacturer who now lives and works in China and whom we have known and worked with for over nine years.  We are also pleased to announce that we have another supplier who provides some of our beautiful bridal jewellery.  This supplier is based in the UK and so we can order further products at shorter notice. 
Our aim is to provide quality, affordable cultured freshwater pearls with a first class personal service.

Our office hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm and on Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm.
You are welcome to contact us with any questions during this time.  We have an answer phone service for you to leave a message should the office be unattended and we will get back to you as soon as we can.  Alternatively you can drop us an e-mail.  Messages received out of office hours will be acknowledged on the next working day. 
Telephone messages or e-mails placed over the weekend will receive a reply on Monday morning.  However we do check the e-mail from time to time over the weekend and will respond earlier to urgent communications if possible.

Sophanie offers three UK delivery methods:

Royal Mail First Class post:
All orders are dispatched by Royal Mail First Class post on the next working day.

Royal Mail First Class Recorded Signed For™ service:
You can choose this option at a cost of 95p.  (See Royal Mail website for more details – www.royalmail.com).
All orders over £60 will be sent via this method free of charge.

Royal Mail Special Delivery TM Next Day service:
Alternatively you can opt for the Royal Mail Special Delivery™ Next Day at a cost of £3.65. This provides compensation for loss or damage up to a value of £2,500 Once again full details of this service can be found on the Royal Mail website www.royalmail.com.
Please note that as orders placed on a Thursday are dispatched on Friday – this then means that the parcel will not be delivered until Monday as the Next Day service does not operate on a Saturday unless a premium rate is paid and we do not offer a Saturday Next Day service.  If ordering on a Thursday and requiring the order for arrival on Friday please contact pearls@sophanie.com and we will confirm if it is possible to dispatch your order on that same day. Please note orders with a value of £110 and over are free of charge for this service.
   

One Year Guarantee:
All our products are guaranteed for one year against faulty workmanship or materials.
Returns Policy: 
If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your pearl jewellery, then you may return it to us within 30 days after receipt of the goods and request a full refund or an alternative item of the same value (if the item is of a different value the balance will either be refunded or you will need to pay the difference). The goods must be unused and in their original condition with their presentation case or pouch plus any other materials or leaflets included in the return. It is advisable to obtain a proof of posting receipt and to insure the items with the Royal Mail. Once we have received your goods in their original condition we will then be able to process your refund or send out an alternative item.
Earrings: Sophanie does not offer a returns policy on earrings due to hygiene reasons, unless the earrings are damaged.
Items delivered broken or faulty must be returned to us within 7 days. It is advisable to contact Sophanie immediately either by phone or by e-mail advising us of the problem and if it is possible we will offer a suitable solution. All items that are broken or faulty on receipt must be returned to us in their original packaging. Items will be replaced or in the event of the product not being available either a gift voucher or a full refund will be offered.   However items will not be credited or replaced if Sophanie considers the item to have been damaged through mistreatment.
